Thank you for considering to adopt from The Cat Corner, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter that has been saving the lives of stray and homeless cats in Hampton Roads, Virginia for over three decades!
We don't know how it happened but Melody and her sibblings ended up alone at 5 weeks old. A kind person took them to the emergency vet and now they are Cat Corner kitties. They are fortunate because they now have a second chance to find a loving home. They have been fostered in a home settting by a true animal lover and they are used to be held and cuddled. They are cute, friendly and lovable as are most kittens but also as with most kittens, they are little individuals with their own personality. Come in and meet them. Find the one whose personality best fits in with you and your family.
Mellie is a very sweet, laid back little kitten. She's a lot more vocal than the rest of the crew and will let you know when its time to feed her. She gets along well with the dogs, although I'm sure it might take her a little bit to get used to a new dog. Our dogs are fairly calm so I'm not sure how she would do with a more hyper active dog. She loves to play with toys or balled up pieces of paper, she doesn't really care either way. She loves to scratch and climb on the cat tree and has never tried to scratch the furniture or carpet. She would also be happy with a cardboard scratcher. Mellie is a very sweet little cat and would do well in any home.
