We are honored to remember many of our dearest furry friends who are no longer with us, and to share their stories with you. If you have had a Cat Corner kitty who has passed away we would be glad to include them as well; you can email us and our web person will contact you about adding your friend to our Rainbow Bridge page.

Cali Baby
When Cali Baby first arrived at the Cat Corner, she had experienced a bit of a rough time. She just lost her owner and had to come to the Cat Corner. Cali was cautious around people and other cats at first, but after volunteers gave her constant love everyday, she became quite the sweetheart. Cali spent a few years at the Cat Corner, until one day Cali Baby's calico face caught the eye of a one of our volunteers. The last year of her life she spent in a loving home in warm comfy beds and in the arms of her new owner. Cali Baby passed away in the same arms on December 18th, 2012. Her owner had this to say about the time she spent with Cali, "We wanted to thank you for allowing us to take her into our home, she was a shining star and a very loving little kitty, she enjoyed sleeping between us every night and rubbing face to face, even thou she was with us just a short time she was loved very much, and will always be in my heart."
Charlie
Charlie came to Cat Corner after his owner died. He fit in well and got along well with everyone. In 2007, Charlie was adopted by a family who loved him very much. Charlie became the 3rd child in the family and was happy just being with the girls. He would allow them to do most anything - even dress him up in doll clothes and take him for rides in a baby carriage. He would race them to bed at night and the 3 of them would settle down to sleep together. Charlie lived happily with his family for 4+ wonderful years until he suffered a stroke on 20 March 2011. Charlie died peacefully in his families arms on 28 March 2011. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved this wonderful cat.
Cici
Cici came to us under difficult circumstances, as so many kitties do. She was probably left at our door, but we found her in the gutter looking like maybe she'd been hit by a car. We took her to the vet, she seemed ok, so we brought her back to recuperate. But when it came time for her spay surgery, she didn't make it through the anesthesia. Maybe something we never knew about. But her sweet nature shone through everything during the brief time she was here. She was quiet and loving, happy sitting in the front window every day, content to curl up in her bed with her bowl of kitten chow every evening, loving to be petted. We would've loved to see what a beautiful girl she'd have been over time, and we're sad she's gone. But we're glad she at least had a safe, comfortable, loving place to stay while she was here.
Claude
Claude was born in 2000 across the street from the Cat Corner and he has lived most of his life with us. Claude liked spending time on the porch soaking up the sunshine and he could always be found at the kitchen door when it was time for breakfast or dinner. Claude had a lot of friends among the volunteers and his fellow furry friends. He had been at the CatCorner longer than almost all the volunteers so he knew how things operated or at least were supposed to. He will be missed by everyone, but especially by his buddy Steve. Both he and Steve could usually be found eating together or snuggled up side by side.On December 9, 2011 Claude had a straddle thrombosis- a blood clot, and we had to let our dear friend leave us. He will be missed by all..
Coco
Our little Coco crossed over the Rainbow Bridge late last night or early this morning, June 14, 2007. Coco was my foster kitty so I guess that it was right that I found her.
We had a routine on Thursdays when I came in the mornings. I brought her Fancy Feast Shrimp and Fish and when she heard me come in, she would meow for me to feed her the special food. This morning, I didn’t hear her and when I looked in her cage, I saw that she looked like she was sleeping in her little pink bed. She had been diagnosed with kidney failure so we knew that she might not have much time left but we were hoping that she would be with us a little longer.
Coco was found under a restaurant that was flooded, and she had a little kitten with her. The kitten died but Coco was brought to the Cat Corner where she has been ever since.
She adopted me as her Foster Mom when one day as I was cleaning her cage, she rubbed against my arm, seeming to ask me to stop and pet her. I was flattered, since I was a new cat person, that she had picked me to rub her little head and brush her. She would bop me too if I didn’t do it to her satisfaction, for our little girl was all cat and ran her own show.
I am very thankful that I can be a part of an organization like the Cat Corner that allowed such a sweet soul to have a decent life. Coco left us laying in her comfy pink bed, with a full tummy and with lots of love. I will miss her.
